-- The Elections Commission meets this morning to approve asking DOA to sign off on its plan to use new federal funds for elections security.
The state recently qualified for $7 million from the feds through Congress' $380 million Help America Vote Act. It passed in March and is intended for states to beef up elections equipment and provide extra staffing for implementation of security measures.
To receive the $7 million, the state will need to provide a $348,916 match. Spoke...
