Supreme Court to hear lame-duck suit

The state Supreme Court has agreed to hear an appeal of a Dane County judge’s ruling that invalidated all of the Legislature’s actions in a December extraordinary session. GOP lawmakers first appealed the case to the 3rd District Court of Appeals, which issued a stay of the circuit court ruling, then asked the Supreme Court to take it directly. In addition to granting the petition to bypass, the court set oral arguments for May 15 and laid out a briefing schedule.
