Gov. Evers: Announces federal disaster aid resources for Marinette County

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today announced that private nonprofit organizations in Marinette County affected by severe storms in Wisconsin on July 18-20, 2019 can now apply for low-interest loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration. The loans provide up to $2 million to help repair or replace physical losses caused by the storms, which downed trees, damaged buildings, and left thousands without power. The announcement follows a recent amendment to a previous federal disaster declaration by President Donald J. Trump, which added Marinette County to the list of counties eligible for public assistance to repair damage caused by the July storms.
