-- The state Supreme Court has scheduled oral arguments for Oct. 21 in a lame-duck case brought by the SEIU and other unions.
The suit alleges that by passing laws during December's extraordinary session that "strip as much power as possible from the Executive Branch and hand it directly to the Legislative Branch," lawmakers violated the separation of powers clause in Wisconsin constitution.
