MON AM Update: Lawmakers claimed $797K in per diems last year; ‘UpFront’ recap

-- Lawmakers claimed $797,140 in per diems last year, a 16 percent increase from the last election year.
Members of the state Senate claimed $224,540, led by Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, at $14,960. He was followed by former Sen. Kathleen Vinehout, D-Alma, at $12,650, and Sen. Fred Risser, D-Madison, at $11,600.
Former Sen. Terry Moulton claimed the least at $1,700, while Sen. Chris Kapenga, R-Delafield, claimed $1,936. Former Dem Sen. Caleb Frostman, who was elected in a June special election, claimed $2,070.
