MON PM Update: Evers sign bill delaying closure of youth prisons; four counties apply for youth facility funding

-- Gov. Tony Evers today announced that he has signed legislation delaying the closure of Wisconsin's troubled youth prisons by six months.
And right on the heels of Evers signing the bill Friday, a new report finds conditions have improved significantly at Lincoln Hills and Copper Lake in northern Wisconsin. But the report, part of a settlement in a federal lawsuit, also noted rooms still aren't adequately suicide resistant and the state has more work to do in order to meet all of the deal's requirements.
