Madison- State Representative Tyler Vorpagel (R-Plymouth) issued the following regarding the passage of the 2019-21 State Budget.

“I am proud to vote for a budget that funds the priorities of Wisconsinites, no matter the zip code.  My colleagues and I worked hard to craft a budget to make sure that no matter where you live, where your children go to school, or what roads you drive this budget impacts your life in a positive way.

“I hosted multiple listening sessions and heard from hundreds of constituents regarding their thoughts on the budget, and this is a good balance of what I have heard.  We worked hard to fund affordable high-quality health care including increases for nursing homes and personal care workers, invested heavily in schools, cut taxes for middle class taxpayers, and still set aside money in case of economic downturn to almost double the rainy day fund.

“This is a budget that should have received a bipartisan vote.  Citizens don’t want us to go on a spending spree with their taxes or increase the size of government, but we heard from you who wanted us to invest in areas like K-12 and Transportation and we listened.  This is truly a budget for all Wisconsinites, and I am proud to support it.”

Representative Tyler Vorpagel (R-Plymouth) serves the 27th Assembly District which includes Kiel, Cleveland, Elkhart Lake, Howards Grove, Plymouth, Kohler, and Sheboygan.
