-- The Joint Committee on Employment Relations is meeting today to take up a pay plan that calls for raises in each of the next two years for most state employees.
But the committee won't take up a proposed contract that would provide state troopers with a pay boost of 21.3 percent. GOP Senate President Roger Roth, the committee's co-chair, said lawmakers want more time to look at the deal.
