Gov. Evers: Works to increase Wisconsin medical provider access to critical supplies

MADISON — As hospitals and clinics work to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, Gov. Tony Evers is taking steps to help improve health care workers’ access to personal protective equipment (PPE) from the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS). MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today directed Department of Health Services (DHS) Secretary-designee Andrea Palm to issue updates to the previous order prohibiting mass gatherings of 10 or more people.The updated order maintains the ban on gatherings of 10 or more people and indefinite school closures, but includes some important changes and clarifications: Treats bars and restaurants are the same. Wisconsin reports first COVID-19 deaths; Barrett in self-quarantine

The state has recorded three deaths due to the coronavirus. The deaths include a Fond du Lac County man in his 50s, a Milwaukee man in his 60s and an Ozaukee County man in his 90s. Gov. Tony Evers announced the Fond du Lac and Ozaukee County deaths last night, offering his sympathies to their loved ones and all who are suffering from the virus.
