Dane County: has invested over $1.8 million in homelessness services since start of COVID-19 pandemic

Today, County Executive Joe Parisi announced that Dane County has invested more than $1.8 million in services to support individuals experiencing homelessness since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. These efforts have included reserving hotel rooms to help create proper social distancing, supportive services, and food services. Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office: Issues statement regarding positive COVID-19 tests in the Milwaukee County Jail

Milwaukee, WI (April 19th, 2020) On Sunday, April 19, the Milwaukee County Jail’s contracted medical provider reported that one individual detained in the jail, and one individual released from the jail on Sunday, have tested positive for COVID-19. Neither individual displayed symptoms of COVID-19 while in custody.   The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office and the medical provider are conducting rigorous contact tracing.
