John Nygren, who initiated a costly legal battle with the governor’s office rather than work collaboratively to resolve an overly broad request for public records. The legislature has exempted itself from the open records laws that apply to the governor and hundreds of other government entities and officials around the state. Rep. WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin joined a bipartisan group of senators, led by Senators Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Susan Collins (R-ME), in urging the USDA to target COVID-19 relief provisions to reach local farmers in the new Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP).
