Protect Our Care ads knock Trump’s COVID-19 response

New TV ads in the La Crosse/Eau Claire and Green Bay markets will air alleging the Trump administration COVID-19 response failed to protect at-risk Americans from getting infected or dying. Protect Our Care said the ads are part of a $2 million campaign in Wisconsin, Arizona and Michigan. A spokesman for the organization didn’t say how much of the money was being spent in the state, though he said it was a six-figure number. The first ad, “Left Behind,” features nurse Tarik Khan saying Trump had a duty to protect older adults and he failed. The second features Dr. Risha

Edgewood college: Statement to Wisconsin delegation regarding student and exchange visitor program

Madison, Wis. (July 8, 2020) – The announced update to the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) from U.S.  Immigration and Customs Enforcement this week is deeply troubling and confusing at best; at its worst it is a policy that clearly embraces xenophobia and hatred. Edgewood College has welcomed students from countries around the world for decades. These students are valued members of our community, and of the Greater Madison community.
