A federal judge on Saturday rejected President Trump’s attempt to throw out Wisconsin’s election results and allow the GOP-controlled Legislature to possibly appoint the state’s electors. Trump had argued decisions made in how the election was run usurped the Legislature’s authority in urging U.S. District Judge Brett Ludwig to overturn the results. But Ludwig ruled the record shows the selection of the presidential electors “was conducted in the very manner established by the Wisconsin Legislature.” Ludwig wrote it was “an extraordinary case” with a sitting president who lost reelection asking to set “aside the popular vote based on disputed issues
