-- The Senate Health and Human Services Committee votes today on a bill that would expand mental health services to offenders under community supervision.
SB 593 would require the Department of Corrections to expand telehealth mental health services to certain, more rural, parts of the state. DOC estimates the bill would cost $111,800 in its first year.
The bill's Assembly companion, AB 654, already passed a January floor session by voice vote.
