TUE PM Update: Evers hires private firm for work on post-election lawsuits

-- The office of Gov. Tony Evers has hired a private law firm to represent him in the various election-related lawsuits growing out of the Nov. 3 results with a contract that pays attorneys up to $275 an hour.
Evers originally retained Stafford Rosenbaum LLP ahead of the Nov. 3 election in anticipation of possible lawsuits with a contract that capped overall costs at $10,000. That contract, though, included a provision allowing amendments in case expenses exceeded the original cap.
Since then -- and with multiple lawsuits file...
