Milwaukee County Clerk Christenson: “Our elections are fair, transparent, accurate, and secure”

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Clerk George Christenson received a subpoena today signed by Representative Janel Brandtjen (R-Menomonee Falls) demanding that he appear before the state Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections on Sept. 7, and bring with him all ballots cast in the Nov. 2020 presidential election, including absentee, provisional, and physical ballots, all ballot counting machines, all USB flash drives, software, bootable media, security, logs and log files, IP addresses and other election related materials. MADISON, WI- Today Governor Evers signed into law Senate Bill 120, which creates a standard Use of Force definition for law enforcment, and provides a penalty if this standard is violated. Brandtjen subpoenas Milwaukee, Brown County voting machines, ballots in election probe

Assembly Campaigns and Elections Committee Chair Janel Brandtjen announced today she has issued subpoenas for ballots and vote-counting machines from Milwaukee and Brown counties as part of her probe into the 2020 presidential election. Shortly after announcing the subpoenas, the Menomonee Falls Republican spoke to a rally in front of the state Capitol to pressure GOP legislative leaders into approving a forensic audit of the 2020 election. The subpoenas also request images of all election equipment, including tabulators, ballot-marking devices and computers used for processing results. “And this is not something that we’re going to be doing just in 2020,”
