All On The Line: Speaker Vos tries to hide his record of undermining transparency and public input in the redistricting process with new website

Today, Speaker Vos made a haphazard attempt to appear transparent by launching a new public submission website–after a year of ignoring calls for public input in the redistricting process. For nearly a year, the nonpartisan Peoples’ Maps Commission (PMC) has been providing meaningful opportunities for public input, including holding hearings with redistricting experts from across the country and soliciting maps from the public. As a result, the PMC has already collected thousands of written comments and map submissions from Wisconsinites across the state. Speaker Vos and Republican state legislators have shown zero interest in supporting this nonpartisan, transparent effort. Instead,

The interviews can be found here and here, and excerpts are below. On Democrats’ reckless spending: “If you look at Bernie’s budget there, you’re exactly right; at the end of the ten-year budget window, the national debt will have gone from $28.5 trillion-dollars, where it stands today, to $45 trillion. President Biden talks about it is fully paid for. They’re projecting deficits over that period over $14 trillion. Just like the infrastructure bill is supposed to be entirely paid for, and then all of a sudden, oops,

Save America PAC: Statement

The people of Wisconsin are lucky to have a strong and great leader like Representative Janel Brandtjen, who issued subpoenas for Brown (Green Bay) and Milwaukee Counties, and all of their election evidence and so-called results. Wisconsin shows many (to put it mildly) signs of cheating in the 2020 election, and people want answers, now. We still don’t know why Michael Spitzer-Rubenstein, a New Yorker, had multiple keys to the Election Day counting rooms, and a City of Green Bay employee ID when records show he was never employed by Green Bay. A Milwaukee election employee even acknowledged dropping off

After Gov. Tony Evers vetoed six Republican-backed voting restriction bills, Wisconsin conservative political commentator Charlie Sykes took to MSNBC to criticize GOP attacks on democracy and praise Gov. Evers’ bold leadership on voting rights. “What really strikes me is the pettiness and the mean-spiritedness of these voting laws,” said Sykes. “They don’t do anything whatsoever to deal with fraud, but they make it harder for certain people to vote, particularly the elderly, the disabled, shut-ins. It makes it harder for them to cast absentee ballots and also makes it easier to throw out completely legitimate votes.” Sykes is right — the anti-democracy GOP wants to limit ballot drop boxes,
