Dept. of Military Affairs: Wisconsin National Guard Black Hawk helicopters sent to California and Washington to assist with wildfires

MADISON, Wis. — Three Wisconsin National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and 23 Soldiers will assist California and Washington as those states battle wildfires raging across their states. The aircraft, along with crews and maintenance personnel from Soldiers assigned to Guard aviation facilities in West Bend and Madison, are supporting California and Washington through an Emergency Management Assistance Compact – or EMAC – request from each state.
