-- The Elections Commission is urging spring voters to mail their absentee ballots as soon as possible.
As of Friday, more than 391,000 absentee ballots had been requested for the April 6 election. But fewer than 96,000 had been recorded as returned.
The deadline for absentee ballots to be returned is 8 p.m. on election day.
