-- The Natural Resources Board has a special meeting planned today to discuss separate legal counsel to represent it in lawsuits seeking to end Wisconsin's wolf hunt.
The board, controlled 4-3 by appointees of former Gov. Scott Walker, asked the Department of Justice and Gov. Tony Evers for private legal counsel. The request was rebuffed, and a DOJ spokeswoman said the board didn't qualify for private counsel under standards in state statute.
