-- A Senate committee will take testimony today on legislation that would allow non-residents to carry a concealed weapon in Wisconsin if they have a valid license issued by another state.
Currently, out-of-state residents can only carry a concealed weapon in Wisconsin if they have a valid license from a state that performs background checks on applicants before issuing the permit. A list of those states is maintained by the state Department of Justice.
