Milwaukee Common Council: Committee approves file advancing Homes MKE Program

During today’s meeting of the Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee, the committee unanimously recommended approval of file #220656 – a resolution selecting developers and authorizing discounted property sales and housing rehabilitation and workforce subsidies through the Homes MKE Program. In 2021, the Common Council allocated $15 million in Federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for the program that seeks to renovate City-owned tax foreclosed properties for homeownership and affordable rental opportunities, as well as create job opportunities for residents. WI National Guard: Wisconsin Guard Soldiers plunge into Fox River to hone survival, rescue skills

OSHKOSH, Wis. — A day of unique combat water survival and swift water rescue training was conducted in the waters of the Fox River in Oshkosh, Wis., by the Soldiers of Company A, 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team on Sept. 10. This rigorous day of training was designed to prepare the Soldiers of Company A to answer the call to aid in domestic operations whenever needed.
