Milwaukee, WI – Imagine you ran a business with 2.2 million guaranteed customers each year, no real competition, and no matter what your input or distribution costs are, your private investors were guaranteed a 9.8% return. Sound too good to be true? That’s exactly the situation WE Energies finds itself in right now, with no end in sight. U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore: Statement on House passage of the Jackie Walorski Maternal and Child Home Visiting Reauthorization Act of 2022

“I am so pleased to support this vital legislation, which helps our most vulnerable new mothers when they need assistance the most. This guidance for new parents — from securing mental health screenings, to helping mothers with the breastfeeding process — benefits both parents and their babies. MIECHV program’s success speaks for itself: it supports children’s development, improves mother’s maternal health, and helps connect families to resources they need. The research shows, through repeated evaluation, this program is consistently proven to provide an improved outcome for families and children. I can speak personally to the improved outcomes having access to trained home visitors can make. When I was 18 years old, some 50 years ago, when

Milwaukee Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression: Justice for Brieon Green! Accountability now!

Milwaukee, Wis. – After nearly six months of fighting, the family of Brieon Green has viewed a portion of the footage surrounding Brieon Green’s death. It is inhumane and unjust that a family had to wait nearly half a year in emotional limbo to see footage regarding the death of their loved one. The suffering the family had to endure is entirely by the hands of MCSO, who refuses to engage in public transparency. It is clear to us now that Brieon Green’s death in Milwaukee Sheriff custody was entirely avoidable and a product of inhumane negligence. Seconds after Brieon
