Federal judge rules plaintiffs don’t have standing to sue over Biden student loan forgiveness plan


A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit the Brown County Taxpayers Association filed challenging President Biden's student loan forgiveness program, ruling the plaintiffs lacked standing.

Judge William Griesbach noted in his ruling Thursday -- two days after the suit was filed -- that the U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly held that just paying taxes is not enough to establish standing to challenge an action taken by the federal government.
