-- John Tate II today resigned as chair of the Wisconsin Parole Commission after Dem Gov. Tony Evers pressured him to step down.
Tate has been under fire from Republicans after initially approving the release of a man who'd served 25 years of an 80-year sentence for stabbing his wife to death in 1997. He reversed that decision after a call from Evers, who was criticized by GOP challengers over the case.
