Johnson, NRSC teaming up in new ads

U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson has teamed up with the National Republican Senatorial Committee to run nearly $5.6 million in TV ads from Sept. 1 through Thursday.

That includes a series of ads in recent weeks that paint Dem rival Mandela Barnes as a "radical leftist" who's "dangerously liberal on crime."

The NRSC, which has faced questions about its fundraising, has made similar moves in other states, teaming up with candidates to run joint ads.
