APPLETON —  On Wednesday, July 6, Main Street Action will host a small business roundtable with candidates for U.S. Senate. Local small business owners and farmers will lead the conversation. All candidates were invited, and Lt. Gov Mandela Barnes, Alex Lasry, State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski, Outagamie Executive Tom Nelson, Steven Olikara, Peter Peckarsky, and Kou Lee will be in attendance. This is the third in a series of three non-partisan roundtable conversations.

The purpose of these roundtables is to familiarize the candidates with issues impacting small business: health care, care economy (child care & paid leave), capital access, tax fairness, and anti-monopoly. Candidates will have the opportunity to respond to questions on these topics.

The event is open to the media, but there will not be an opportunity for press questions during the program. Small business owners, organizational representatives, and candidates may be available for interviews before or after the event.
