MON PM Update: Evers calls for $101 million to boost shared revenue, cover public safety costs

From ... -- Gov. Tony Evers announced today he'll call for a $101.4 million boost in shared revenue as part of the 2023-25 budget, including a new $10 million supplement to help cover public safety costs.

Evers, who has faced a barrage of attacks over crime in the guv's race, also announced he's immediately putting more than $3.4 million in federal COVID-19 aid into Wisconsin State Patrol and campus police departments.

Republicans pared back the shared revenue increases Evers proposed in each of the last two budgets.
