TUE AM Update: Report shows state in best financial shape in a decade

-- The state begins the 2023-25 budget cycle in much better financial shape than any cycle in the past decade, according to a new report.

Wisconsin's projected general fund revenues through mid-2025 exceed base spending by $6.8 billion.

By comparison, the state began the 2021-23 cycle with projected revenues short of base spending by $373 million. For the 2019-21 budget cycle, projected revenues exceeded base spending by $1.43 billion.
