MADISON, Wis. – Late last week, Memphis police released internal video showing the brutal beating of Tyre Nichols, a 29 year-old Black motorist, resulting in his death three days later.  Representative Robyn Vining (D-Wauwatosa) released the following statement:  “Tyre Nichols’s life mattered. Dept. of Revenue: Wisconsin Audit Initiative provides 34 to 1 return on investment

This year was another banner year for the audit initiative. Auditors and audit-related positions created by Act 55 generated $396.7 million, greatly exceeding the 2022 fiscal year goal of $82 million.
