Dept. of Natural Resources: Awards $6.5 million in grants to help restore and protect Wisconsin’s surface water

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource (DNR)’s Surface Water Grant Program today announced it has awarded over $6.5 million in grant funding to nonprofit organizations, lake associations and municipalities throughout Wisconsin. Funding will be used to help restore and protect our state’s surface water resources in 2023 and beyond. This year, the program received 446 applications from eligible applicants requesting over $7.2 million. Racine, WI — Building Unity is on an over 1000-mile journey to raise awareness, excitement, and participation in the Feb. 21 and April 4 Wisconsin State Supreme Court elections. It is traveling to eight different regions of Wisconsin, and with statewide partners, hosting eight different weekly public forums and providing at least eight different weekly action opportunities for justice.
