Powering Wisconsin formed to protect ‘status quo’ around wind, solar projects

A newly formed lobbying and advocacy organization called Powering Wisconsin aims to “protect the status quo” around wind and solar development in the state.  That’s according to Peder Mewis, regional policy director for the Clean Grid Alliance, based in Minnesota. Sen. Cabral-Guevara: Town of Grand Chute Receives Stewardship Funds

Madison, Wis. — On February 15, the Joint Committee on Finance held a meeting to consider Arrowhead Park Trail’s stewardship request and approved the project. “Grand Chute worked tirelessly to get this proposal pushed through. Dept. of Natural Resources: Asks public to report black bear den locations

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) encourages the public to report any black bear den locations they find across Wisconsin in order to help with an ongoing study on black bear reproduction. The Black Bear Litter and Diet Survey will begin its second year of data collection in March and is looking for more dens statewide to include in the study. Dept. of Transportation: It’s not too late to obtain an ID to vote in tomorrow’s primary

Wisconsin’s Spring primary is Tuesday (February 21, 2023) and voters who don’t already have a Wisconsin driver license, ID or other form of identification needed to vote may still get a Wisconsin ID from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
