Dept. of Natural Resources: Public comments On proposed Wolf Management Plan are now available online

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today released a compilation of all public comments received on the proposed Wolf Management Plan. These comments were received during the public comment period from Nov. 10, 2022 through Feb. 28, 2023 and are available on the DNR’s Wolf Management Plan webpage. In total, the DNR received around 3,500 comments. Commenters used multiple channels to submit their comments, including an online public comment tool, email and mail. Gov. Evers: Extends application deadline for Price County District Attorney

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers announced on March 15, 2023, that he is seeking applicants for Price County District Attorney. The governor announced today he is extending the application deadline to 5 p.m. on Fri., April 14, 2023.  The appointment will fill a vacancy being created by District Attorney Karl J. Kelz’s resignation. The new district attorney will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that ends January 2025. Public Service Commission: New 274 area code coming to northeast Wisconsin in May 2023

MADISON – The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC or Commission) today announced the creation of a new, additional area code to overlay the area in which the 920 area code is now in service.
