Assembly committee approves constitutional amendments on elections

The Assembly Campaigns and Elections Committee approved three constitutional amendments that would change voting requirements and ban the use of private funds to cover election costs.
Members on Tuesday approved along party lines AJR 76, which would ensure non-citizens couldn't vote in local, state or national elections, and AJR 77, which would bar the use of private money covering election costs....
