Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, delivering the keynote address to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s state convention, gave activists one charge for this fall: win.

Pritzker said people on the coasts might not understand that while Midwestern Dems are nice, they’re “Midwest nice to you while we Midwest beat you.”

The Illinois guv said Midwestern Dems know the alternative, from Republicans imposing union busting laws to “ripping away women’s rights” and gutting public education.

Pritzker said Dems’ mindset has to be like game day when the Packers and Bears play. While people can spend the offseason debating coaches, quarterbacks, kickers, draft picks and play calls, when we get on the field, the goal is winning and “losing is not an option.”

One party activist called out, “for us,” drawing a laugh from the crowd mindful of the Packers’ 10-game winning streak vs. the Bears.

“Oh, we’re going to get you this year,” Pritzker answered.

His speech included a series of insults he threw at Trump, calling him a racist, sexist, misogynist and narcissist, as well as a “flatulent old man with an orange spray tan who fell asleep at his own trial.”

He also rejected the suggestion that age is what differentiates Trump from Joe Biden in the presidential race.

“Donald Trump was stupid and ignorant long before he got old,” Pritzker said.
