-- Gov. Tony Evers this morning announced a July special election to fill the vacant 4th SD and one in November for the 8th CD.
The 4th SD has been open since January, when then-state Sen. Lena Taylor, D-Milwaukee, resigned following her appointment to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
The election will be July 30 with a primary, if necessary, on July 2.
