The Joint Finance Committee convened shortly after 10:15 p.m. to begin voting again on areas of the state budget, more than 12 hours after its originally scheduled start time.

The co-chairs didn’t have an availability ahead of the committee going back to work after they spent much of the day behind closed doors negotiating budget provisions.

The committee first took up several agency requests in a 13.10 hearing, including the release of nearly $50 million to fund a literacy program.
