Under the dynamic leadership of new Republican Party of Dane County (RPDC) Chair Mike Herl, the RPDC will be introducing a new outreach event on Tuesday, March 3.
Andalante!
Buoyed by the energy of a large group of local conservative candidates this spring, local conservatives and activists will join with a contingent of Spanish speaking and singing community leaders at the Sun Prairie Nitty Gritty, starting at 5pm on Tuesday.
Although the event will be 50-50 Spanish and English, this Pints & Politics will feature:
* Perfecto Rivera, host of the groundbreaking Valor Latino radio show, which airs Sunday mornings on 1130 AM WISN radio out of the Milwaukee area.
* Victor Huyke, publisher of the combined Spanish & English language newspaper El Conquistidor. It has been published for over 25 years without any government subsidies.
* Local Dane County Board candidate Carlos Rodriguez Lewison, who is running on the near east side of Madison in district # 2. Carlos is a student of history and his father fought in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
* Mideast Salsa, a popular Latino dance band, led by singer & keyboard extraordinaire Hanna Bettner.
This is a free event and all are welcome to attend no matter which language you speak.
