The president incited his supporters to invade the Capitol and disrupt the certification of the 2020 election. That is too high a crime to ignore.

We need to apply the lessons of 2020 to ensure that not only does Wisconsin recover, but that we create a Wisconsin stronger than ever.

There are not many backstops more universally relevant today in Wisconsin than unemployment insurance. But that system, right now, is in chaos, and that chaos represents a statewide tragedy.

Many districts throughout the state have continued to keep their doors shut, despite substantial scientific evidence that it is safe to reopen. DPI data shows clearly that districts enjoy significant financial savings from keeping their doors shut.

Wisconsin this week badly lagged much of the Midwest in the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to frontline healthcare workers and senior citizens, particularly nursing home residents.

The middle of a pandemic is no time to limit the effectiveness of local health officers.
