When I think about the community’s relationship to the Madison Police Department over the last decade, one thing stands out. Local activists and too many local officials have taken correct observations about the history of policing in America and about the culture of departments in other cities and applied them inappropriately to Madison.

Wisconsin’s job market was bruised but not broken by the coronavirus pandemic. We have rounded the corner, and are already participating in the great American comeback.

The people of Wisconsin know establishment figures like Hillary and Biden got us into a sticky foreign policy and economic spot and they know Trump is getting us out of it.

While Congress and the Administration weighs a new funding package to respond to COVID-19, they should keep in mind the special needs of America’s seniors and those within immune-compromised communities, and focus on a “super-vaccine” that will ramp-up T-cell protection for our most vulnerable citizens.

Trump and Fox News have done an excellent job convincing a lot of Americans that all is well with their country today despite a botched response to a world pandemic and civil unrest in the streets.
