Walker is very vulnerable, but his challengers are blowing it with far-left campaigns.

As governor, I pledge I will do everything in my power to restore the funding our schools deserve, the rights, wages, and benefits you lost, and the autonomy and respect you deserve.

Scott Walker is an effective candidate—he managed to win and hold the governorship in Wisconsin while amassing a solidly conservative governing record. But, unlike some other successful GOP governors, Walker doesn’t seem to be immune to national level trends.

Both Vukmir and Nicholson have made it clear that they will be stalwart allies of the president, regardless of the president’s policies and behavior. Both have defended the president’s policies on trade and on foreign relations even when it might have seemed more politically advantageous. It’s silly to pretend that either one could be Never Trump.

Is kneeling during the playing of the national anthem to exercise the fundamental American right to peaceably protest somehow less honorable than a president of the United States groveling to a murderous anti-American strongman in full view of the rest of the world?
