LFB says proposal would expand the child and dependent care credit, and save average Wisconsin taxpayer $656.

The weight of poverty and social isolation can overload a parent’s ability to cope, which can contribute to drug and alcohol abuse, interpersonal violence, and mental health crises. Consequently, these struggles overload a parent’s abilities to give their children the supportive relationships they need, and neglect becomes more likely to occur.

Yes, one side in Wisconsin politics is indeed “radical.” It is not the one led by Tony Evers.

Wisconsin Rep. Joel Kitchens (R-Sturgeon Bay) earned a lot of unwanted national media attention late last week for his remarks during a floor debate in which he said he was qualified to deny women abortion access because he’s a veterinarian.

We know that this invasion is Biden’s intent because the border was all but secure at the end of the previous administration. Since then, the Congress has not passed any border or immigration legislation, yet the border is gaping open.

I am equally sure that with the nation seriously watching and demanding action on the border bill it would be political suicide for the GOP to whiff this time at bat as the reaction would be so loud that even ole Henry Clay would hear it in his eternal slumber.

Biden’s trip to Superior was a signal that he intends to fight for the votes of people in northwest Wisconsin, and that’s a big deal.

The state Supreme Court is weighing whether to hear Dean Phillips’ lawsuit over the decision to leave the Minnesota congressman off the Dem presidential primary ballot.

It doesn’t seem like some institutions are really paying enough attention to these trends and putting systems in place to inform the students and faculty, of potential threats before they show up at their campus door.
