Two progressive lawyers have filed an ethics complaint against former Justice Michael Gableman, accusing him of a “shambolic, dishonest, and destructive campaign against Wisconsin’s democracy at taxpayer expense” during his review of the 2020 election.

GOP attorney Jim Troupis, who participated in a scheme to present a false slate of Wisconsin electors for Donald Trump, has been reappointed by a split Wisconsin Supreme Court to a state body that provides informal advice to judges on ethical conduct.

UW System President Jay Rothman announced plans to seek a tuition increase of 5 percent over the 2023-2024 school year – the first since 2013.
