The governor’s first pitch surprised Republicans who control the Legislature. Republicans took that first pitch with a grimace for three reasons.

Note to voters/taxpayers in the West Bend School District: the pending election for three seats on the school board April 4 will be of epic proportions for its impact on the school district for the next three years.

Both presidents were called senile—Washington by none other than Jefferson.

A Dane County judge has declined to block GOP-authored referendums on bail policies and qualifying for public assistance from the April ballot, finding lawmakers substantially complied with state law as they sought to place them before voters this spring.

The polls are open for the spring primary with the top two vote getters for state Supreme Court advancing to the April election.

A newly formed lobbying and advocacy organization called Powering Wisconsin aims to “protect the status quo” around wind and solar development in the state. That’s according to Peder Mewis, regional policy director for the Clean Grid Alliance, based in Minnesota.
