If it allegedly demonstrates courage to take on what they proclaim to be threats to the American way of life by “radical” leftists and scalawags like Democratic Gov. Tony Evers, that courage is clearly absent when it comes to standing up to Donald Trump’s hold on their party.

Nothing in politics moves quickly, and the turning of the grievance mindset which now makes up the GOP will require efforts at strong and persistent messaging from within the party.

What if then President Donald Trump had bullied his secret service detail into taking him up to Capitol Hill to join and probably lead the assault on the American electoral process?

Democrats are going back to their political playbook from 2018, when they shoved weed advisory questions on county ballots across the state to help drive up turnout — a strategy that proved effective in helping get liberal Gov. Tony Evers elected.
