The DNR says it will need more staff and money to implement provisions in a GOP bill to combat PFAS. That includes one directing the Department of Natural Resources to create a municipal grant program to help municipalities and non-municipal entities that are regulated like public water systems test their water for per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances contamination.

The Republican National Committee has set Aug. 23 in Milwaukee for the first GOP presidential primary debate, with the potential for a second debate the following day.
