Wisconsin prisons are a mess. A dangerous and too often lethal mess for both inmates and staff. And yet, where’s the action from state lawmakers and the governor?
Wisconsin prisons are a mess. A dangerous and too often lethal mess for both inmates and staff. And yet, where’s the action from state lawmakers and the governor?
Just recently the WMC Litigation Center filed a lawsuit on behalf of two taxpayers against the town of Eureka, alleging the town’s permitting requirements for livestock farms are unlawful. And that they are. At least in my take, it’s just another example of “local control” gone wild.
The campaign finance reports — filed more than a month late — also show the two committees raised more than $1.3 million through the end of June with most of that coming from an Arkansas philanthropist.
