Hovde denies working with disbarred attorney Eastman as he considers next steps

GOP businessman Eric Hovde posted a more than 4-minute video on X in which he made a series of claims about the election, including some that have already been debunked, rather than conceding to Dem Tammy Baldwin. He said in the video that some of his supporters had encouraged him to challenge the results, and he is waiting for the final information to come in before deciding how to proceed.

Supreme Court hears oral arguments in case over whether 1849 law bans abortion

Justice Jill Karofsky said she fears the Supreme Court is being asked to “sign the death warrant” for women and others as the Sheboygan DA seeks to restore an 1849 law that had been interpreted to ban abortions except to save the life of the mother. Meanwhile, fellow liberal Rebecca Dallet questioned whether the state could still enforce a law that was written by white, landowning men considering the string of changes made to abortion statutes since then.
