Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu says Gov. Tony Evers’ “word and promise are on the line” ahead of tomorrow’s deadline to sign or veto his legislative maps.

A spokesperson for Eric Hovde confirmed to WisPolitics that the Madison businessman next week will officially launch his campaign challenging U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison.

The agency called the language its “standard practice” on redistricting bills. Still, the provision raised concerns among Dems during Tuesday’s debate in the Senate, particularly the question of what it would mean for an attempt to recall Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, and a special election in the 4th SD.

The court ruled the Presidential Preference Selection Committee abused its discretion in refusing to include Phillips on the ballot alongside President Joe Biden.
