Despite all these protests, Congress passed military aid to Israel (as well as humanitarian aid for Gaza) on overwhelming votes. So, not only do the protests appear to be ineffectual, I think there’s a fair chance that they’re pushing the American public the other way.
It is very likely that every single voter who chooses Trump will also pick Hovde and whoever votes for Biden will pick Baldwin. In other words, if Trump wins the state, so does Hovde. Baldwin brings no residual strength at all.
Evers is wrong, just like Walker was wrong several years ago. By misusing the extensive veto authority granted to Wisconsin governors, chief executives are making the argument for rolling back the powers.
Gov. Tony Evers turned constitutional limitations against taxation without representation on their head when he unilaterally increased property taxes on Wisconsinites for the next 400 years.

Wisconsin’s property tax system is complex with many moving parts. Our report sheds some light on two of the most misunderstood parts of the system: How and why property taxes are affected by revaluation and how they are affected by shifts in property values in surrounding communities.
Even the good news was an issue for Republican candidate for U.S. Senate.
69% are worried, poll shows. But Evers and Legislature can’t agree on how to address problem.
Bernie Sanders, chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, will introduce a bill calling for $10B in mandatory funding — $1B/yr — to establish a long COVID research program at NIH.
